Why You Need A Mentor
As an entrepreneur, especially if you’re just starting your business, it’s important to have a mentor for a variety of reasons. Sometimes people find their mentors by hiring coaches, but you can even find a mentor for free if it’s someone who just wants to help you out.
I’m thankful to have Liz Theresa as my mentor! The amount of knowledge she has about marketing is incredible, and she’s always so willing to respond to my millions of texts and answer any questions I have. It’s even better that she’s a Boston gal, too! If you’re debating on whether or not you need a mentor, here’s why you DO need one.
They’ve been through it before.
Whatever you’re going through, chances are your client has already gone through the same thing multiple times. If you’re faced with a difficult situation, you can easily vent to your mentor and they will be able to give you the advice that you need.
You can bounce ideas off of them.
We’ve all come up with amazing ideas before but haven’t always known how to execute them in the best way. Sharing your ideas with your mentor will benefit you because they’ll be able to give you actionable steps that you can take to execute your ideas.
They’re there to give you advice.
If you have any questions about anything, your mentor will help you to the best of their ability. I texted Liz the other night to ask her about resources I could read about learning Facebook ads, and she immediately sent me a few sources. We were on the phone the next day for almost an hour and she gave me an overview of how Facebook ads work – it was so helpful and she is THE BEST! Your mentor will be happy to help you when they can.
What would you use a mentor for?

I don’t currently have a true mentor with my biz but I had an awesome biz coach who truly helped when I was first starting out.
I’m not necessarily an entrepreneur, but I work full time and I consider my supervisor and my colleagues to be my mentors. I think it’s so great to learn things from others. Most of the advice I’ve gotten is invaluable!
